Why Social Workers?
While occupational therapists are well-known for functional capacity assessments, social workers bring unique expertise in psychosocial and systemic complexities. This is crucial for individuals dealing with trauma, emotional regulation issues, community participation challenges, and other psychosocial factors.
Our Training
Our social workers hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree and many have postgraduate qualifications in social work, mental health, or related fields. They are trained in conducting holistic, strength-based assessments, adhering to the high standards set by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Assessment Process

Comprehensive Evaluation: We assess physical health, mental health, decision-making capacity, motivation, emotional regulation, social interaction, community engagement, and more.

Holistic Approach: Our evaluations consider family context, environmental factors, and cultural, spiritual, and systemic influences on functional capacity.
Cost and Duration

Assessment Duration: Typically conducted over 4 hours, with 2-3 appointments.

Report Preparation: Reports are extensive (20 - 35 pages), taking 15-18 hours to complete, but charges are capped at 14 hours, with the total cost at $2716.

Therapy Review Reports are being written in support of the NDIS plan reviews. They discuss progress with goal achievement and recommend therapy needs to inform future NDIS funding.
